I cannot tell you how much I love the Monty Python spam skit. The best is the song they play during. "Spamity Spam!" I used to sing that all the time. For a while in college, I had a can of Spam as a doorstop, just because I think the whole idea of Spam is hilarious. Even now I get the Spam catalog, which sells everyting known to man with the Spam logo printed on it...I have the Spam snowglobe. A Spam snowglobe! So great.
Yes! My best friend's father-in-law worked for Hormel for many years. Recently, they took him back to his home town as a birthday gift, and HAD to go to the Hormel Spam Museum. They actually recreated the set for that MP skit, and have it playing on a video loop on the TV that's part of the set.
When I was in high school, I played in the hand bell choir at church. Once, as a joke, a friend and I arranged the Spam Song for hand bells.

And yes, the director (my mother) allowed us to play it.
But not in public.
